Henrik Pedersen (CEO).
Henrik Pedersen is co-founder of Nanocore. Henrik holds a PhD from Odense University, Denmark, and has authored or co-authored more than 50 publications and patent applications in the fields of composite materials, combinatorial chemistry, directed evolution of small organic molecules, macromolecular recognition, drug discovery, and more. Henrik was co-founder and CEO of Immudex, as well as founder of Nuevolution A/S, for which he was the CEO 2001-2003, and CSO 2003-2006. Prior to this, Henrik Pedersen worked for Novo Nordisk and Genentech, and was a postdoc in Prof. Peter G. Schultz’ lab at the Chemistry Department, UC Berkeley.

Ole Raft (Chairman).
Ole Raft holds an MBA from Copenhagen Business School (1998) and has served as the CEO of Antech Invest since 2002. Antech Invest is a private investment company focusing on venture capital investments. Before Antech Invest, Ole served as a Financial Analyst at Unifund SA in Geneva 1994-1996 and later as a Financial Analyst at Lion Group, 1999-2002. Ole also serves as the chairman of the board at Plastix A/S, a Danish plastic-producing company.

Jacob Thygesen.
Jacob Thygesen holds a masters degree in Finance from Copenhagen Business School. Jacob worked for a few years with M&A in Hafnia Investment Banking before taking over a position in the Financial Guarantees Portfolio of Hafnia/Codan Insurance. In 1994, Jacob joined the Management team of Conair to help the five lending banks sell the company including the nine Airbus aircrafts. Following this Jacob entered the Private Equity industry in 1996, first as Investment Manager in Nordic Private Equity and then as Partner in Axcel in 1998. In 2012, Jacob decided to establish himself as Business Angel. He has invested in eight growth companies, including Nanocore.

Mikkel Dybro Lundorf.
Mikkel Dybro Lundorf is co-founder of Nanocore. Mikkel holds a PhD from Aarhus University, Denmark. He is a Senior Scientist at LEO Pharma A/S and was at Nuevolution A/S 2002-2010, where he played a key role in the development of its novel drug discovery technology.

Advisors

Martin Schmid.
Martin Schmid served as the General Manager for the CNT Business Division at Bayer MaterialScience AG (now Covestro AG) in 2005-2009, where he was responsible for all of R&D, production, sales and CNT business development. Martin currently serves as the General Manager and CEO at Roscommon & Peacock International GmbH.

Torben K. Jacobsen.
Torben K. Jacobsen is Senior Director for Materials & Process Engineering at LM Wind Power, the world’s largest producer of wind turbine blades. Torben is a mechanical engineer by training with a PhD in materials science. Over the years, Torben has worked extensively on fiber-reinforced composites and next-generation materials.

Hassan Aid-Haddou.
Senior Director R&D at Pall Corporation. Hassan is an innovative and strategic R&D executive and has held diverse technology roles over the years. Hassan has a proven track record in leading R&D organizations in Organic and Polymer Chemistry, where he has engineered performance materials (rubber, thermoset and thermoplastic), nanomaterials (surface modification & applications), functional materials (applications in dispersion, coating, flocculation, self-assembly, thin films and membrane surface modification, purification and filtration) and downstream processing.

Markus J. Buehler.
Professor and Department Head of Civil and Environmental Engineering at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). Markus focuses on making nanotechnology sustainable and scalable for large‐volume materials applications. His research in materials science focuses on mechanical, thermal and optical properties (specifically deformation, plasticity, fracture and failure). Markus has received numerous prizes, including the Robert Lansing Hardy Award 2013, the Alfred Noble Prize 2011, the Leonardo Da Vinci Award 2011 and the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers.

Larry Gold.
Founder and Chairman of the Board at SomaLogic. Larry also serves on the Board of Directors of BioForce Nanosystems, BT Pharma, CompleGen, MicroPhage and the Scientific Advisory Board of Archemix. Larry founded NeXagen, which later became NeXstar Pharmaceuticals, and co-founded Synergen. Larry is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences.
